At Grand Hotel Central, we are currently hosting Sea Mirror, a solo exhibition by Bilbao-born artist Juan Escudero.

At Grand Hotel Central, we firmly believe in the connection between hospitality and culture. That is why we are pleased to announce our new collaboration with Pigment Gallery, a prominent Barcelona-based art gallery specializing in local artists. As part of this initiative, our lobby exhibition space is being transformed into a meeting point for contemporary art, hosting exhibitions that bring the city’s artistic talent closer to our guests and visitors. 
To launch this collaboration, we are presenting a group exhibition featuring works by renowned artists: Anke Blaue, Juan Escudero, Rosa Galindo, Dominica Sánchez, Jordi Fulla, Patricio Reig, and Begoña Terradas. Each artist brings a unique vision, reflecting the richness and diversity of the local art scene.

The current solo exhibition, Sea Mirror by Juan Escudero, is part of this initiative. The show features some of his most recent prints, created through a precise technique with no corrections, where each line determines the next. The result is a series of compositions that evoke natural processes—such as fabrics, fluids, and landscapes—and fluctuate between abstraction and figuration. Rather than depicting specific images, his drawings activate visual processes open to multiple interpretations, reflecting both the automatic impulse of the artistic gesture and the element of chance found in nature.
