Responsibilities:

• Serving guests with courtesy and professionalism, meeting 5-star service standards.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately, providing recommendations according to customer preferences.
• Serve food and beverages in an elegant and efficient way, ensuring that presentation standards are met.
• Know the menu and the details of the dishes, as well as being informed about vegetarian, vegan and allergenic options.
• Keep up to date on special offers and hotel promotions.
• Set up and clear tables efficiently, ensuring the dining environment is spotless.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team and bar staff to ensure a smooth and coordinated service.
• Handle payments and transactions accurately, using the point-of-sale system as needed.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints proactively and resolve issues efficiently.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of hotel facilities and services to provide accurate information to guests.
• Participate in staff meetings and training to maintain a high level of knowledge and service.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service skills, preferably with previous experience in the hotel industry.
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Flawless presentation, customer orientation with a proactive and motivated attitude, and strong team-work skills.

Responsible for:

• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone and mail.
• Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type.
• Verify availability of room type and rate.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests.
• Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue according to upselling budget.
• Input and access data in reservation system.
• Indicate special room reservation types (e.g., complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system.
• Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Manager.

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in a similar position within a 5-star hotel or chain portfolio.
• Fluent in Spanish, excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) and not required but desirable, French.
• Highly motivated and passionate about your job.
• Willing to work under pressure to commit hotel and department targets.

Responsible for:

• Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
• Ensure all food items are prepared hygienically and on time.
• Follow recipes, portion control. and specific presentations indicated by restaurant.
• Restock all necessary items during the shift.
• Clean and maintain the station under optimal conditions of safety, hygiene, and organization.
• Have the knowledge to properly use and maintain all station equipment
• Assist with cleaning, hygiene and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the chef and Sous Chef.
